You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Tallia watched as her husband ducked into the tent first as she took a pause to look around at the little town checking they had not been followed. The breeze carried a wet and woodsy smell it was different from what she was use to but she didn't mind it. Seeing her husband wave her in she ducked down stepping into the tent to fill the empty space beside him. She offered a soft smile to the woman before her mossy green eyes traveled to her husbands face as he began speaking.  "This is my lovely wife Tallia, we've come to procure a certain good you see, there's a plant that grows in the region that we'd love to add to our weirs I believe the local name for it-" He had started to say but with a hint of amusement she interrupted. "Honey," she hushed him with a soft nudge to his arm, "You'll have to forgive my husband. He tends to get overly excited when it comes to this kind of thing." she explained to the woman in a teasing manner she was calm and her voice was soft and sweet whenever she spoke. "She asked us about our story not about what we want to buy from her." she explained admiring her husband's embarrassed expression. 

"my apologies. Why I am Musin Faric, but my friends-"

"And wife" Tallia added in a teasing manner.  

"-and wife, call me Musi. This whom I've already introduced, is my lovely wife Tallia. We are Travelling merchants and we're trying to make it big. Together we are Faric trades." while musi explained Tallia watched the woman's expression. She seemed kind, but aged from many years of life experience. Tallia took note of the dirt on the woman's top and the green stain beneath the woman's fingernails. She could tell the stories about this woman were true and she was glad she made the trip. She cleared her throat as her husband stopped talking, the woman looking eager for more information. 

"I don't exactly have a place I call home. My father was a mercenary and my mother mended armor while we travelled with him. On along the outskirts of wood elf territory we came along a small party of wood elves, they called themselves the Chirr and were transporting a tiny Tallia. They were in bad condition and no shape to go against my father and his companions and opted for a trade of goods. I begged my father to buy the elf girl and set her free and finally he gave in, and we took her in. That was 5 years ago when my parents were still alive and well. Tallia opted to repay her debt and she came with us. After we lost my father we turned to trade, buying and selling here and there. With my mother now with my father me and Tallia are still together, trailblazing across the realm to seek riches and adventure." as he finished explaining she felt his hand grab hers she had tensed up a little she always did when they spoke about her years as a slave. She preferred not to speak about it at all in fact not even Musi himself knew many details about her life before she met him and his family those many years ago.
