Ota Kayami was born in a small hut in the forest where she was also raised, her mother's name was Ota Kazue, her father’s name was Ota Masaru and an older sister named Ota Atsuko. Kayami was shy as a kid but had two best friends Nakanishi Seiji and Kato Toshiyuki played with. Kayami’s parents taught her how to write, speak and cook, her older sister Atsuko taught her how to shoot with a bow and hunt. At age of 10 Kayami lost both of her parents due to a Civil War outbreak between Karinah'siol and Haelun'or Anarchy forcing Kayami and her older sister Atsuko to travel for a place to stay. 6 years later Kayami’s older sister died due to illness leaving 16-year-old Kayami on her own. Kayami has continued traveling and searching for a place to stay.
