You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Sciron flops on the cushion and lets out a satisfied grunt, in a second, he is fully lounging with his legs spread out wide and arms wrapped behind his head. Only after such preparations, he acknowledges the woman and says full-heartedly: "I wanted to take this house". After a sniff of musty air he continues, "Can we better just talk about the candles? I hate when they go out on the most interesting spot. But I figured how to determine the best part of the manuscript - you just light a candle and as you read see where it sniffs itself out. That part needs to be reworked or improved."
