I am Olof. I was born and raised a Highlander, and have prevailed by following my more traditional values. My farm is my most valued possession, one which I inherited from my parents after they died in a fire several years ago. I hope one day to rise in my community and maybe become the leader of my town, but for now, I will focus on tending my farm and making an honest living. I was never keen on religion, but I still stay true to the Red Faith. For now, this is my story, but I have a feeling in the years too come I will have a great deal more to add.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
