Astrid is someone who has experienced memory loss, she isn't aware where she comes from, nor whom she is. Everything that she knows about the world is taught to her by other people she meet.
She has no knowledge of her past, this includes the death of her parents and younger sister.
Astrid doesn't remember where she was raised, however she does possess a general knowledge about nature which has allowed her to make an educated guess that she was raised in a smaller village surrounded by some sort of forest.
Astrid has an ambition to learn as much as she can from those around her, she is relatively naive and has a tendency to fin herself in trouble one way or another, either if this is from an overwhelming lack of social awareness or her need to please everyone around her.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Astrid's eyes widened as she stared at the hag, then her jaw dropped as the hag explained she had expecting her arrival. " Uh- No no! pardon me I believe I am lost! You see, I am trying to find my way to the local tavern, I am in search for a job, anything really to pay for a meal. I have not been able to eat a proper one for days, and I am afraid if this continues I will not make it very long." And yet, even though she clearly dismissed the invitation, Astrid still stepped further inside as sat down with a long, exasperated sigh. "Sorry, here I go rambling on about my own problems.."
