Khacrid is an orphan, as far as he knows, but he doesn't know very much about his lineage/heritage, so that is subject to change should lore need it. He hails from the Maehrel-Vaxu. Khacrid was living mainly with the blacksmith he worked as an apprentice blacksmith for, for room and board. Whatever Khacrid sold through his mentor, he only got about 30% of the Minas back. He wants to find out more about where he came from, and why he's been living on his own for so long. He is hoping he can get some sort of closure for why his parents seemingly gave him up, whether they simply weren't ready, or didn't want children at all. Some answer is better than no answer. At least, to him it is.
Khacrid follows the teachings of both Velûlakeeyt and Smaohtrankarparg when he can, and devotes a good portion of his life to their practices.
The traveler has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
"A blacksmith, ma'am. It's my trade. I hope to surpass my mentor one day, though, that day is likely far off, haha. He's a much better blacksmith than me." Khacrid chuckled, rubbing his arm sheepishly, the callouses on his hands catching the fabric of his tunic and tugging it up for just a moment. His skin was littered with scars. Nicks, burns, permanent bruises, and a number of pockmarks, like he had picked at himself for a very long time. "I'm hailing from Maehrel-Vaxu. It's a lovely nation, if you know where to look. Some of the views there are amazing ma'am. I think you'd enjoy them." Khacrid hummed softly as he pictured one such view almost wistfully. Khacrid picked at his cloak nervously. "You aren't upset I ducked in here unannounced, are you? I can leave if need be." He offered, shifting towards the exit hesitantly.
