You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Eriksson glances around the tent before complying with her request to sit, the smell of rotting wood reminding him of the woods around his family home.
"Well" he begins slowly "my name is Eriksson Norsten and I come from the Kingdom of Norland. All I have known all of my life is farming, hunting, and turning trees into lumber. My father is a farmer. It's his passion, and one he has tried with all his might to pass on to me. He says I'm stubborn for not taking to it naturally" he continues, looking away from her as he mentions his father. With a deep sigh, he continues.
"My mother, AllFather bless her, is a passive woman who spends her days mending clothes, cooking, and whatever other task my father may ask of her. I guess that leaves...me. I never took to farming as I said a moment ago. I've earned my keep helping friends chop trees and then sell the lumber or fix old buildings. But I've always wanted more. I want to get out and see what else is out there. I want to make a name for myself, and not just be another Norlander. I've already come this far. If my journey leads me even farther from home, so be it."
