Laun was the son of some not so notable people. Perfectly average, in every aspect of their lives, the definition of average even! Other than being in a very poor financial state. So poor that while yes, everything was average and was the bog standard of what other people had it took forever for them to get the money to afford it all. Eventually Laun's father grew tired of living a slow and uninteresting life where he nor Laun and Laun's mother could truly enjoy much. So Laun's father decided to become a mercenary  for a little bit and see if he gets more income. Laun's father's name is Trevor, and when Trevor finally decided to go with it he called Mary (Laun's mother) and Laun into the kitchen. By the time Mary and Laun walked in there, Trevor was already seated. Mary and Laun took the memo and sat down. "So I've been thinking..." Trevor said, leaving the other two in anticipation for a moment before resuming. "...Of becoming a mercenary..." Trevor said that with his head held low knowing they would disapprove. Mary Immediately started speaking, "But isn't it dangerous! You could die! I don't know If I could handle the stress..." Tears slowly begin streaming down her face. Laun butts in immediately after, saying "I would rather go than have you risk your life!" Laun was filled with more anger than his mother. Trevor replies still holding his head down low. "Well I don't believe that we should be living so simply! When was the last time you had anything worth mentioning about your entire day!?!" Mary and Laun knew where he was coming from but they were very worried about him. "Well isn't all a mercenary does is fighting? Wouldn't that obviously be such a dangerous profession?!?" Laun replied. Trevor responded immediately after, "Well I've already made up my mind! I just wanted to make sure you knew where I am if anything does happen!" The argument went on for about an hour. Trevor just barely managed to convince them. As long as he didn't do anything that was too dangerous. So  he accepted a guard job at a store that wasn't that well known but had their own safe in the back, and his job was to guard it at night. His father only ended up making only a little more than the amount before although he had less time near his family. So he started to reconsider. He started to zone out thinking about it and let his guard down. A thief had snuck in, and jabbed a knife in his throat. Nobody was near to help him, and he never made it back home. That made Laun have to start working harder, as he was indeed already working and selling crops alongside his Mary. A few months later Mary was reaching for a large pot from a cabinet, from her crying all day she lost a lot of energy and fell. The large pot gave her a fatal concussion leaving Laun all alone. Since Mary was the one growing the crops, he had to turn to the same thing his father turned to...
