    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the use of OOC information (knowledge, actions, etc.) to affect IC roleplay, especially when that OOC information would otherwise be inaccessible or unknown. E.G. reading a forum post on a secret ritual; then roleplaying knowing the ritual.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the intentional doing of the impossible, such as forcing an outcome often at the detriment of another party (like automatically landing a blow in combat and never taking damage from attacks).
