You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))

"Oh, I am just here for some business" looks cautiously at the door "got into some trouble at the last town I was in . You see that place was my home I was born there but I believe that home is where the business is. While my city was beautiful I decided to make a couple of deals that... well lets just say got me into some trouble. And lets just say I was in the sneaky line of work." Looks at watch and looks up to old lady then Flips a coin to the old lady "oh yea, it be best if you never saw me" Leaves in a haste.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: It can ruin emersion in the story, making it feel distant for the other players. For example if two players are in a fight and one says "I blast a hole in you chest the size of a large stone killing you instantly" without even rolling ruins all chance of roleplay
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Because it can foil an entire plot line someone has spent time on. For example if you are in a separate vc with a friend and they hear you planning on breaking into a castle in order to speak to the king and that friend is a guard for the king meta gaming would be that friend warning all the guards and king of your plans ruining all chances of really good story making.
