Flick was born into a poor family in the The Meranesian Islands, like most average human citizens. Flick lived in a very small neighborhood, that was separated from the rest of the island. It was enveloped with lush farmlands that he spent most of his time exploring in. He had a few childhood friends, which consisted of well....the local animals. He was always seen as an outsider, even to his own family. He was raised to believe that he could be nothing more than a farmer, which was his fathers occupation, his grandfathers occupation and so on. This family business was the heart and pride of the Tsukia family. But for Flick, farming just never interested with him. Flick loved to play and tinker with old farming tools, making knights made of silver, and maidens in need of saving out of hay and ribbon. Flick decided that he wanted to be something more, and became a toymaker and botanist. He made quite decent money, but had to leave his family of two brothers, three sisters and a loving mother behind. Flick never refers to his past, not because it was extremely tragic, but he prefers to not dwell in the past. His anxious behavior formed from the intimidation and fear of his intense father. He never was socialized as a child, which negatively impacted his ability to socialize in his later years.
Flick had received his nickname from his younger sister, Evi (npc) who couldn’t pronounce his name correctly, and promptly decided “Flick” was a suitable name. Evi was the only sibling of his that actually confided in him, or even interacted with him. Flick chose to be a toymaker because of his love of tinkering, which has been a part of his life to this day.
Flick immediately inhaled the salty scents he was so familiar with. He glanced around the bustle and hustle of the cobblestone streets. His grey eyes glanced down to the well dressed man’s shoes, murmuring quietly. “Me? Well I’m here for a new life! I want to share my work in a new city.” Flick nodded, contempt with his answer. Looking back up at the man, Flick brushed his curly hair from his face, with a determined expression on his face. “I may start with nothing, but I know I will succeed!” This time, his voice was more articulate and sure, and spark in his heart illuminated the ideals of his mind.
