You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As I step into the tattered tent, I take a deep breath to steady my nerves before responding to the old hag. "I come seeking knowledge and perhaps a bit of guidance," I reply, trying to keep my voice steady. "I've been traveling for some time now and heard that you may have answers to some of the questions I seek."

I take a seat on the cushion, preparing to tell my story to the old hag."I am Ragnar Steelbeard, a Highlander from the frozen north. I came here seeking knowledge and answers to a great mystery that has plagued my people for generations. It is said that in these swamps, there exists an ancient artifact of immense power. A relic that can grant incredible strength and wisdom to those who possess it. My clan sent me on this quest, hoping that I can bring this artifact back to our people and help us overcome our enemies.

But I am not alone in this quest. There are others who seek this artifact, and they are not friends of my people. They are dangerous and ruthless, and I fear what they might do if they get their hands on the relic. That is why I am here, seeking any information or assistance that can help me find the artifact before they do.

I do not know much about this place, nor do I know who to trust. But I have heard of your reputation, old hag. They say you know things that no one else does, and that you have powers beyond mortal understanding. If anyone can help me in my quest, it is you."

"I'm looking for a way out of this place," you say, taking a deep breath. "I've been wandering for days, lost in this swamp, and I stumbled upon this town by chance."

The old hag nods knowingly. "I see. You've come to the right place, then. I know these swamps like the back of my hand."

You feel a glimmer of hope at her words, and lean forward in your seat. "Can you help me? I'll do anything."

The hag chuckles softly, the sound like the rustling of leaves. "Anything, you say? I might have a job for you. There's a dangerous creature lurking in the heart of this swamp, terrorizing the townsfolk. If you can defeat it, I'll show you the way out."

You weigh the options in your head. It's a risky task, but you have nowhere else to turn. "Deal," you say firmly. "Where do I start?"

The hag smiles, revealing a row of crooked teeth. "First, you'll need some supplies. Follow me." She stands up, and beckons you to follow her deeper into the tent.
