You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"You did?" he asked curiously, somewhat surprised, "Well, I've arrived looking for… others of my kind."
"I left my home, for I am a clanless Maehr and had no place in their houses, and decided to travel the lands wandering for a season or so now but… I'm lost, and stuck with one's thoughts for too long has you quite lonely." he looked at her sheepishly, "I may have also been forewarned that I am too young, too inexperienced of the world by the others and well, they may have been right… but I still believe leaving was the right choice."
"I know I'm asking for a lot but, could you point me to the land of Vortice, I come across others speaking of a sanctuary of sorts for those also of my kind. I would also like to find a place to settle down, earn some coin and be of use somewhere." he then asked, anxiously fidgeting with the buttons on his chest, the threads worn from the constant worrying.
