Spartacus was born in the Markev, but was abandoned at birth do to food shortages. He was raised by a frontiersman in a remote part of the Highlands. Growing he learned how to survive in the cold harsh environment with almost nothing. These conditions hardened him and he almost didn’t even feel the cold. There were times when there was very little food and they almost starved in the small shack resting in the tundra, but somehow they always managed to survive.
One day the frontiersman went out to gather supplies, but never returned, after searching for days he finally gave in. By now Spartacus was 16 and could take care of himself well enough, but the loss hurt him deeply. It felt empty and alone without him and after six years, Spartacus finally decided to head for civilization. He found the frontiersman’s map in a small chest of his belongings and chose the city of Markev because he was born there. He began the great journey with little food and supplies. The wind cut right through him as he trekked through the snow and ice. He became lost and was almost ready to give in to the elements when he remembered the frontiersman’s words:
“Nature is a tireless opponent. You will not win every battle, but if you can learn to adapt, you may win the war”.
Fueled with determination he pressed on through the elements and found the path he had lost. After traveling for a few more days he set eyes on the kingdom. Prepared for anything he headed towards the gates.
