You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As I step into the dimly lit town, the smell of rotted wood and wet moss assaults my senses. I look around at the shacks and cabins, taking note of potential dangers and hidden threats. As I duck into a tattered tent, I'm met with the piercing gaze of an old hag.

I eye the old hag warily but take a seat on the offered cushion. "My name is Cairne, and I seek vengeance for my fallen brother. He was killed by the orcs, and I will not rest until they pay for their crimes."

As I talk, the old hag nods and hums thoughtfully. "I see," she says. "Your quest for revenge will not be an easy one. But I can offer you guidance, if you are willing to listen."

I nod eagerly, sensing that this old woman may hold the key to my success. "Please, tell me what I must do."

The old hag closes her eyes and begins to chant, her voice low and melodic. Suddenly, her eyes snap open, and she fixes me with a piercing gaze. "The orcs have a powerful ally," she says. "A dark wizard who has sworn allegiance to their cause. You must seek him out and defeat him if you wish to have any chance of succeeding in your quest."

I thank the old hag for her advice and rise from the cushion, ready to begin my search for the wizard. But as I step outside, I realize with a shock that the old woman was not merely a wise sage, but an oracle with the power to guide me on my journey. With renewed determination, I set off into the swampy town, ready to take on whatever challenges may lie ahead.
