You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: The cruelly beautiful girl slowly walked over to the old lady with careful steps as the old woman eyes her every footstep closely. She sits down on a old dusty pillow left near her as the old lady stares at her blood red eyes with confusion and a little fear. She smiles slightly trying to appear kind and non-threatening but her appearance gives it away that she's been through a lot these past few months. With her blood marked black steel armour that looks like its not been polished in years paired with the daggers strapped to her well built thigh that glimmers in the low candle light. She clears her throat before looking at the old lady and speaks as softly as she can. "My name is Catallina, I have been travelling for quite some time now as I left my ...home, to seek a new beginning. My parents..." She hesitated before carrying on speaking, trying to think of the right way to word this without setting off any alarms to the poor old lady sat only a few feet away from her."My parents aren't who I want to be like anymore, they do things I can never imagine committing with no remorse. I can't! I wouldn't..." She slams her hand down on the old rotten wooden table making the empty glass bottles rattle and cling against one other. The old lady jumps back slightly frightened and helpless. She clenched her fist realising where she is and that she's only speaking to a lowly common old woman and not a threat. She raises her head up slowly seeing the face of confusion and a little terror flash across the lady's face as to what she could mean. She takes a deep breath before speaking again, "I know I'm destined for greater, to be greater, and to fight for what I believe in." She says confidently before quickly standing up and flashing a soft smile to the old lady. Towering over the poor woman, she swiftly pulls a medium sized pouch off her shoulder and digs out a small loaf of bread out before handing it to the old lady. "Thank you for letting me in your home, it means a lot knowing there are still good people in this world. I hope our paths cross again." She smiles before turning away and swiftly leaving not a trace of her but a slowly swaying candle by the tents exit.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: In roleplay, it is important to focus on the story and character development rather then winning or dominating other players. How I personally avoid power gaming, I will always remember to try to collaborate fairly with others, follow the community and roleplay rules, and be considerate of everyone else's feelings and experience of the roleplay. An example of this would be having my character describe another players character as doing something that would usually require the other to play along forcefully such as a fight they don't want to have.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: metagaming in roleplay can disrupt the fairness of the entire roleplay as it involves using out-of-character knowledge to gain an advantage on the player. This then will take away the immersive-ness of the experience and can make the roleplay an uneven playing ground by being unfair to the other participating players and could make the whole roleplay unpleasant to enjoy after that.
