You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"who are you" Guts asked. He didnt get any replys from her. He decided to tell her what she asks since she did looked like she knew something.
"I was born in the battlefield by a corpse of my mother". "a group of mercenaries picked me up and adopted me"." I grew up by fighting along side with them". "one day, my adoptive father lost a leg, so he had to quit being a leader of the mercenary band".
"a week later, one of my adoptive father's wife died because of plague"."my father called me out and told me that i was nothing but badluck"."and he said he shouldnt have picked me up from the battle field"."after he said that, he grabed a sword and tried to kill me"."i really tried to stop him but i was only a kid then"."at last, i accidently penitrated his stomach with my sword, killing my father in the process"."and i have been travelling alone since then".
Guts look at the hag and ask her "now, tell me"."you talked like you knew me"."why did you ask me to tell you my backstory".
