    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta-gaming is the use of knowledge your character would not know. Even if you the player knows them, they cannot be known by your character. It is essential to separate the character from the player when role-playing. An example would be overhearing something on a discord voice chat and then using that to influence your character's decisions or conduct.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power-gaming is the excessive use of power. It is doing things far beyond the power of your character. An example would be my character being an 8'0'' human, strong as an ox, that is also two hundred years old, and impervious to all damage.

Charles stepped off the boat, the sea breeze messing the little hair he had. His plodding was interrupted by some well-dressed man.
