***sidenote: I wrote way more for Aerope's appearance and traits than I am allowed to put in the box above, so I am going to share them below. Hope that is okay!***

Aerope is taller than most, and her time spent swimming has kept her slender. She has light, olive skin, and salt-scented brunette hair. Her brown eyes are unremarkable, but her facial features are quite the opposite. She has sharp features, with high cheekbones and a sharp jawline. While she may be a mere peasant girl, she has the facial features of royalty.

Aerope is independent, being raised as a single daughter of the sea. Her parents raised her on tales of heroes and triumph. This has consequently caused her to feel that she must be the hero of her own story. She finds herself acting in her own self interest frequently, not because she doesn't care about the people around her, but more because she wants to ensure her name is whispered alongside the heroes she was raised on.

While Aerope could be considered spiritual, she does not follow a particular faith. She finds herself worshiping the sea, more as an entity. Praying for safe passage and greater catch.

The only-daughter of a fisherman, Aerope grew up on a boat. Her father, Aeropos, and her mother, Cynna, were nomads. Her family would spend days at sea, followed by brief stops in Talon’s Port to sell their catch. 

As a young child, Aerope was raised largely by her mother. Her mother taught her math, so that she could help the family sell their fish, and to read, so that she could navigate, and would always be able to find her way on the sea. As Aerope got older, and her father realized he would have no sons, she began to learn how to hunt. She was taught how to wield a spear, and became a very proficient spearfisher. She also began to learn to sail, so that one day she could take over for her parents.

As an adult, Aerope has only just begun to sail on her own. While she does find herself struggling at times, she is determined to make it on her own, and build her own legacy.
