    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Meta is when the player uses out of game information on a character that wouldn't normally have access to that information.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Power gaming is using unfair actions, usually forced, on other players or the environment during roleplay. For example, my character using a bow to down 10 character from afar with with one hit each.

Still a bit shaken by the long, unfamiliar travel with the boat and having arrived at the port of such a massive city, he’s taken aback by the appearance of this sudden man in front of him. Having been told to be careful around such cities and their usually shady residents, he thinks to himself why might this person be curious of a complete strangers intentions. Doing his best to gain some composure and be at least a bit polite to this human, he starts with what he recalls humans do when greeting someone knew. “Greetings Valah”, while raising his arm for a handshake but just a bit too high than anyone normally would, “I have never been to city so big and great as this. I wanted to finally see one with my own eyes, and, as all the stories I’ve heard, it trully is grand, yet.. intimidating”, he says while raising his gaze to briefly take in the bustling city view. “To answer your peculiar, yet straightforward question Valah, I would say I’m here on adventure.. for now”.
