    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: To avoid powergaming in roleplay, it's important to focus on collaborative storytelling rather than trying to "win" interactions. This means respecting the abilities and autonomy of other players' characters, avoiding actions that dictate their responses or outcomes without consent, and ensuring your character has realistic limitations. A well-balanced roleplayer embraces character flaws, consequences, and teamwork to create a more engaging and immersive experience for everyone involved.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by using out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character decisions, which undermines immersion and can create an unfair advantage. It breaks the integrity of the story by allowing characters to act on information they wouldn’t logically know, often diminishing the efforts of other players and skewing the natural flow of events. Fair roleplay relies on characters responding authentically to what they experience in-game, not what the player knows outside of it

Roleplay Scenario:

The cushion lets out a faint sigh as Dior lowers himself onto it, careful not to disturb the dust motes swirling in the candlelight. The glow of the floating candles casts elongated shadows across his face, and the smell of the swamp clings stubbornly to his cloak.

He meets the hag’s gaze—her eyes are pale, clouded with time, yet they seem to see too much.

“My name is Dior,” he says softly, voice steady but carrying the edge of a long journey. “I’ve come from far east, past the black pines and broken hills. I don’t belong to a clan or a cause. I travel to see the world. To understand it. To find what’s been forgotten.”
