Daethyra was born about 213 years ago in Laureh’lin, along with her twin brother, Sevrel. Her parents were dark elves who had nowhere to go, and thus had to live in the wood elf capital. Daethyra and Sevrel grew up with wood elves and a few high elves, and Daethyra has always been interested in other cultures. Their mother taught them Common, as well as math and other academics, and their father taught them survival skills and how to use weapons. Daethyra always had great skill with a bow and arrow, while Sevrel was a master with a sword. About 200 years later, the family moved to Vira’ker, the new dark elf capital. Everyone seemed to like the new home, except for Daethyra. She liked being close to nature and the outdoors like in the wood elf capital, and this new city was a sharp contrast to that. She decided to leave her new home and her family to travel. Sevrel tried to convince her to stay, but she wanted to explore. She promised to visit, then left to venture out into unknown lands.

In the thirteen years she has been traveling, Daethyra learned many things about the outside world and the non-elf cultures. She was also able to reunite with some of her friends she made in Laureh’lin, and she made a few new friends during her travels. One such friend was a halfling named Kerraline. They met when Daethyra was lost and Kerraline helped her find a place to stay. Soon after, the two of them began chatting and became good friends. They would always help each other out and give each other company. One day, her halfling companion disappeared, leaving no trace of her except her signature red bandanna. Daethyra kept the bandanna and tied it to her hand to make a glove, and has worn it ever since. She set out to look for her friend, and to continue exploring.
