    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming is applying knowledge of your character's surroundings, for example, that you heard from another player that your character technically shouldn't know, or it could be subtle 4th wall breaking. An example could be like you, outside of a game, read about Water Evocation and suddenly the player character now knows how to use it.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: powergaming is basically giving a character abilities or knowledge that, according to the laws and physics of that world, shouldn't be possible. like a one hit ko from a low lvl player on a stronger enemy
