Kathleen Aubinet would be raised in the capital of Reza with both of her loving parents by her side. Her parents raised her to be highly religious. As she grew older, her father caught a disease, which lead to his early death. Her mother became distant after her husband died, and decided it would be best to keep herself busy with things outside of their home. That meant that Kathleen was left alone, she had time to do what she pleased, but she eventually got bored of that. She decided to move away from her mother at 18, but remains in Reza.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
