You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
The Elf stood still for a few second trying to realize what is happening. After these second in silence he reply trying to act normal "Interesting.... i dont know how to start, by the fact that you was waiting me in this place". He slowly sit on the cushion while talking "and you will find interesting that an high elf like me talk to you like if you are one of us", he lifter his shoulder in a little shrug "if you waited me all this time, you already know who i am, and where i come from, dont you ?". He keep watching around to see in what condition this Old lady live "My name is Melinir, i lived a quite interesting life so far" he said with a little smile on the face, watching her. "I can deny my race, but i cant deny who i am" he start to play with the strings of his shoes while smiling like he felt the pain of digging in the past. "They consider me a renegade, but i call myself a reborn, and one day they will see i was right ...."
The elf keep talking, and the more he shared about his mentality, the more she can observe the amout of strange things he think about who he is. Something happen in the past, maybe a traumatic event, or worse than traumatic, something that changed his life forever. But after all he dressed normally and talked without swearing or make some extreme statement, so maybe its only a moment where he can share what he have in his mind.
But deep down he knew that was only matter of time that his real nature will show to others
