You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Tafo grabs a cup of ale and sits cross-legged in front of her. "My father has sent me. After mother died he said you. would have something for me." "AH so ya old man still kicking well thats to be expected. Im sure he has told you many storys." Tafo laughs loudly. "yes many of which im sure were made up." It was her turn to laugh. Really it was more of a cackle that turned into a coughing fit. "he knew little and probably told less. Your father was never a great bragger." Tafo smirked "you must not have known him well." "not half as i Might have. But I knew of him and of you. Of your love of the mug. Of your friends loyal as a band of thieving mag pipes. Of your true reason for leaving." Tafo gets up suddenly. With out hesitation he throws back his cape to reveal a dark scar that ran down his side. "yes i had i stayed there i would have died." " the hag says yes eeasy enough to heal but not as easily as it might if you had been healed a month ago. The reals trouble is in how you got it." Tafo sinks to the ground. "aye i know your father has sent word of how you and you friends saved the village from the evil skeletons of wither. Of how you fought bravely side by side untell you alone remained and there struck down the last of how his finaly act was to strike your side." She hands him a colord drink and he.,being an expert chugger gulps it down in one sip. Suddenely he jolts and looks at his side. Healed. "thank you now how may i repay you." she looked at him for a long time and then she said one sentence. One sentence to change his life forvever. "Look untell you find a service larger then yourself" Juist then the lights flashed and she was gone. Tafo found himself thrust into a crowed of half drunk sailors. He quickly made his way to the road and set off for a land he knew not.
