    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using information or reasoning from outside the character's knowledge base or point of view - assming a person won't attack because a GM is there, or referencing their background because you the player have read it, though the characters have just met.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I'm used to power-gaming simply being building a character to maximize it's mechanical power, but as it is used on LotC, it appears closer to what I'm used to being called 'god-moding.' Born to a far flung nomadic Seed, Cainir and his family were isolated, but happy.  He grew  up doing many of the jobs in his Seed. Woodworker, hunter, gatherer, sometimes farmer.  He enjoyed them all, but both he and his elder brother Thamben were especially enamored of the Seed’s druid, Tatharel.  Disaster struck one day, and she died an untimely death, leaving the tribe with no druid.  Several aspirants left to seek other druids to apprentice under,  promising to return when they had completed their training.  Thamben was among them. After waiting for years, only one ever returned – and he could not say what had happened to Thamben.  The apsirants had all scattered in hopes of better covering ground, and he had not seen Thamben in decades.  Cainir asked which direction Thamben had taken when they split, and set out to find his older brother.  He’s followed the trail to Arcas. While he hopes to find his brother safely apprenticed under a druid here, and merely slow in completing his training, he suspects his brother ran afoul of something either coming or going. If he cannot find his brother, he has vowed to become a druid in his stead.

Physical Description: Light brown skin, dark brown hair, and bright green eyes. He is 5' 9" with a wiry build. His ilmyumier is of ivy climbing the left side of his face.
Roleplay Scenario:

*looks the man up and down, evaluating. “I’m looking for two things. A druid, and an elf by the name of Thamben. Can you point me to either of them?”
