    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When you know something is about to happen out of character and you try to prevent it or deal with the situation in character without your roleplay character knowing about it at all.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When a player forces another player to do something without giving the other player a chance to react or do something to counter the power play.

Born in Carolustadt, Capital city of the Empire of Man was a boy named Cadwell. As a young boy Cadwell dreamed of becoming a Knight and embarking on adventures beyond the city walls of Carolustadt his passion burning like the fiery breath of dragon. However it was not to be all boys must wake up and face reality and for Cadwell that was to work and support his family by running the blacksmith and working the forge with his father Elias. Cadwell was not the best at running the forge due to his clumsiness and his forgetfulness at times but, none the less he never gave up and was always committed to the task at hand.

 

At the age of 17 Cadwell had ‘mastered’ the forge and one day when was sharpening up a blunt great sword a group knights arrive in the capital. These knights were here to participate in a Joust tournament held in the heart of the capital. Later that day, Cadwell head to the Joust arena and spoke to a knight that went name of Sir Conrad the Lionheart. Sir Conrad was known for his great deeds of destroying Orc encampments far beyond our city walls. Cadwell always being rather fond of knights offered the great knight his services as his blacksmith during the tournament and to repair his armour after every battle in the arena. Sir Conrad agreed to Cadwells proposal and took him in as part of his joust team, Cadwell was happy to say the least.

 

However this was not to last for too long as after one duel in the arena poor Sir Conrad was wounded severely to chest. However this was not apparent until after the duel had finished. Sir Conrad unfortunately died from his injuries in his teams tent outside the joust arena. Cadwell was the only one to bear witness to Sir Conrad’s death and took it as his opportunity to steal the dead knights armour and equip it to himself. However there was one small problem, everything fit but the helmet and for poor Cadwell this meant that he could not get it off because it being to small for his head, and it remained stuck to his head. With the helmet applying limited vision and being uncomfortable Cadwell fled the city (After hitting a few walls) and embarked on his own adventure! his own story! just as he dreamt of those many years ago as a young boy! But now as a young man!

Physical Description: A well built young man who wears a fallen knights armour set in pursuit of adventure!
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
