Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example:
The weathered mercenary knight kneels next to the hag, armor limiting movement. She removes her helmet to reveal her ice white hair, and long white skinned ears. The elf would provide the woman with access to my distinct facial features. She speaks softly "I am a mercenary looking for work, and coin. Survival is my profession." Her red eyes gaze calmly into the Hags eyes, gauging the hags reactions to her words. The elf decides to continues speaking. "I come from a species of elf, long forgotten, and a tale of hate and woe. My family and life compromised, and my own hand too weak to protect then. I spend my long life travelling and protecting others to repay my debt to those I could not save. I have obtained a few hobbies, collecting tomes of my past, or knowledge regarding my heritage. It helps me prove that my time with my family and friends from long ago was not a falsehood." She takes a moment to compose herself, her eyes distant with thought of her bleak past "You have asked a very forward question of me, so I feel it earned. Why do you ask, miss?"
