I grew up with my sister, Alys,  and parents in Haelun'or, Our family was of the highest esteem among high elves, originally from Normandor, but our parents moved to Haelun'or, where they were of the highest class in research of magic at Haelun'or, having had the status and wealth of generations of wealthy magicians, researchers, and artists. I knew this growing up, as me and my sisters Alys were told day after day that our family name was of the highest caliber and must be upkeep at all cost. So early in my life me and my sister were sent to study the sciences in Taliyna'maehr I grew intensely focused in my studies, my entire life I thought research was something to signify me finally succumbing to my parents desires, it was a weight. But now that I had access I flourished, the professors and staff all said I had promise. I was of incredible talent and they wanted me to move on. I chose to stay with my sister, she had grown less fond of the school and here studies. Although still incredibly talented she had gone mad within obsession over studying arcane magic, more specifically electrical magic to attempt to control the brain.  As she grew mad, I too grew concerned for her wellbeing. I had the offers, wealth, status, and power to move onto to a perfect life. One with wealth that would secure my family name for generations, but I stayed behind. I cared for my sister through times of need. She had such potential, if only she were able to swear off this unholy study. But as time progressed, she did not fail to keep diving deeper and deeper into her theory of electrical brain manipulation. I grew distasteful at the sight of my studies, I swore off the sciences and never returned, deciding to be content in a life of politics. Finally my sister fled, the family figured out about her dark obsession and cast her out. Her wealth stripped, inheritance slashed, and entire life ceased. She was no longer welcome at the house or university, or even home town. I grew incredibly saddened without her, I fled home to my parents and decided to never touch it again in my life. Finally a couple years later, she returned by way of shadow. She appeared to me and offered me a way out, a chance to escape the life of despair I was living and follow her. Of course, I knew she was going to try and bring me back into her research. I could only imagine how far down the hole she had gone. I followed her, knowing I was going to try and get her away from the sciences. Her obsession has driven her mad, and me being obsessed over her wellbeing caused me to flee with her. This is where the story begins, as we flee out home town, in search of knowledge, to the ruins of the silver city (Elcihi'thilln) hoping for some answers.
