Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: "Well, I just wandered in... on my first adventure... outside of my home village!" I barely get out between breathes, "Is the air thick... here... or is it always this heavy and moist?" I ask, while scanning the tent to ensure she means no ill toward me. "Pardon me, where are my manners?" I manage to get out, as I adjust to the air. "I am Theodric Knotwise, and I'm a traveling cook of sorts, I plan on trading a hearty meal to any traveler in need in exchange or a story or song." I proudly exclaim. I reach over into my pack and offer the crone a taste of some of the homemade bread I have packed to start my journey. "I see you study in magic? That has always made me a bit more wery, as my village was attacked by a group of dark elf mages looking for a defector for one of their own." They had nearly burnt our entire village to ash before they left.", the forced reliving of that memory makes me start to sweat, hyperventilate, and get very anxious. "I'm actually going to go, I need some air."
