    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when you do something, that's not realistically possible, and not giving the other character a chance. Example could be using an overpowered ability to one-shot the other opponent.

Biography

 

  • Being born into a painters family, residing in the outskirt of Presa de Madera, having family roots coming from Johannesburg and Carolustadt. Her great-grandparents fled, only grabbing paint and pensels, from Johannesburg during the Orenian-Coalition war, finding themselves without a home for a few years, living in a small wooden hut in the Axios Wilderness, having their lives going by with painting landscapes, surrounding them. Returning back to Johannesburg in 1595 to see their once beloved hometown completely blown up, they set off to the Alban in 1622, where they lived off portrait painting for nobles. As the great-grandparents were lived on by Anastasia's grandparents, they traveled to Presa de Madera in 1644, hoping for new connections and challenges. Anastasia's grandmother were the one, who carried on with her parents speciality with painting, as her grandfather became a guard in town. After their passing, Anastasia's parents, Lorena d'Noir & Frederick Edelborg decided to open up a small art school in 1650 in the heart of Presa de Madera, willing to educate the interested ones in fine arts of portraits in oil, hoping to inspire new artists.

 

Anastasia has really not have any trouble during her childhood or early adult years, other than always being a quiet person, who doesn't really talk unless talked to. She describes herself being well-mannered, being raised right, not being particular in-need for money or food.

 

She had a younger brother, who had a traumatic passing. Andric. She still blames herself for his death. They both decided to go to the Timberwoods River, where they decided to get really close, even though they were forbidden to get near. Andric decided to jump on some big rocks in the river, even though his sister told him not to beforehand, him ending up slipping and hitting his head on another rock, knocking him out conscious, giving the water a chance to drag him into the current. His body was recovered a little further down the river, where his body was stuck to a big branch, making the current unable to drag him further away. Anastasia still has his lifeless face printed on her mind, haunting her till this day today.

Detailed character description

 

  • Anastasia is often seen with a long armed, maxi black dress, split at the leg, also wearing a golden cape with fur at the shoulders. Gold bracelets are present, one being on her right leg, two on her right arm, and one around her waist. Shoe choice is black/gold laced high heels. She stands at 5'8", being quite a tall woman. Her figure is a long, almost slender figure, with a short torso and long legs. Her raven black straight hair and ocean blue eyes, complimented with a pair of full big eyebrows are her signature features. Up close, aging has started to show, having a fine line under her eyes.

Physical Description: A fair skinned, tall, almost slender woman with straight, pushed back raven black hair, ocean blue eyes, complimented with full, thick eyebrows.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
