    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using OOC sources to gain knowledge that your in-game character would never have known. If my friend was getting beat up, they would not be able to tell me through messages.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you do not allow an adversary to fight back in a roleplay scenario. If I was fighting someone, I would not be able to say, "I cut the Orc's head off," because that would not give the adversary a chance to fight back.
