You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Hmpf, my story? There is no story to be told for I am here to write history. My hometown, if you can call it a town, up north, way beyond the swamps, where everything is frozen, covered in clear, white snow got burnt down by pesky Demons, you call them Goblins here as far as i have heard. Ironic isnt it? Well, as the sun went down and the moon took its place, everyone in the village went into their homes, seeking warmth and safety from the biting cold the night brings." Bragi pauses, feeling the sting of those memories.
"It was then that the attack happened. The goblins came in waves, their fiery torches melting our frozen world into chaos. Homes that had stood for generations crumbled into ashes. The screams of my people still haunt me, a reminder of that dreadful night. I fought alongside my kin, but there were too many of them. My family... my friends... they were lost in the inferno."
He pauses again, his voice catching in his throat as he relives the horrors of that night. He stands up to show her the scars on his back, burnt by a thrown torch.
"I was the only one that survived. Well, not entireley, but.. the ones who did survive, did not make it far. Burnt flesh and frostbitten limbs claimed what the goblins did not. I buried my kin under the snow, marking their graves with stones and silent prayers. That is when i made a promise. I promised revenge. I swore vengence. I, Bragi Alpasson shall go down in history as the one that cleansed this godforsaken world of these demons." Bragi reaches for his Axe, raising it and screaming out: "I SHALL BE THE ONE TO SLAY EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. They will call me BRAGI THE SLAYER, BRAGI THE GOBLIN'S END,
Bragi the Fearsome..."
"All-father if you hear me, I will never forgive you..." he says calmly.
