You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Caolán responds cautiously, attempting to hide his suspicion, " I grew up in a household with strong faction ties, entering the service of the Alaresh seemed natural. An old ranger named Fidhal chose me from among several candidates to serve an apprenticeship. I acquitted myself well in battle, and she sent me out on my first mission; to find you." He turns his gaze to casually assess the rest of the tent for anything suspicious. "I'm sure your aware of that much already, so you should be able to prove to me you are who you say you are." The hag raises her silver pendant portraying the Gardner Rips, a white water rapids, the symbol of the Alaresh, "In faith, Vengeance," she utters. "Very well then, what do I need to know about the fiends encroaching on our territory? I'll be sure to hunt them down. It will be over before they get a chance to see me."
