As Drevan stepped of the ship he took in the sensation of arriving in the port city. The stink of fish on the docks, the smell of oils and the sounds of a bustling city. A city where people lied, cheated, traded, laughed be merry and a hundred other sensations. It was almost overwhelming but also a beautiful sight to see. Not beautiful as nature, but beautiful in how it brought out the inner traits of man. Far more than the rural villages of Haense.
Then he saw how a well-dressed gentleman approached to him. Initially off-put by a lowly traveler such as him being addressed by a merchant or a noble, Drevan listened and then smiled as he saw that the man seemed to have good intentions. Or at least curiosity.
Drevan then spoke, his rough but kindly voice resonating though it was mostly muffled by the sounds of the city. "I am afraid that I have come for none of these reasons. I come here to travel, to see the sights. To see what beauties this world may yet hold.”
