The Leadskulls are citizens of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, residing in places near and far throughout the kingdom, known for the luck of bringing in the most lucrative earthly treasures to be used by royalty and kings. They arrived and immigrated with the founding of Urguan when they fled from Aegis. Being of a large family, many were left behind or disapeared or killed.
Gis’ kin is mostly found in the grand mines, supervising or maintaining, or inspecting. During the Three-Month War, her kin assisted in banditry against the humans, disguised, something they would be proud of. They prefer not to mention that time in the family at all, almost shamefully. Most follow the Brathmordakin pantheon. Gis in particular tends to lean more towards Yemekar. She at times thinks he’s watching over her shoulder making certain she is doing good.
Guided by family and sometimes extended family, Gis enjoyed her time in the mines, invited or not. She was quick to learn digging into the earth to learn what was safe and what needed reinforcement to delve into deeper secrets. She was a good kid, seeing other black sheep of the family fall by the wayside during her formative years. That clash within the family made her a little bit scared to not ever stray to be completely alone and separated from family.
Gis is the current descendant and living in Urguan, a certified miner, when she is not underground seeking ore and jewels to sell. When she takes a respite at the nearest inn or tavern, she keeps her ears open to hear rumors or talk of new sources to jump in on. She is reluctant in adventuring but is good at defending herself. She is at odds at times to travel far but if there is a gem or ore involved, she can’t say no.
Gis never thought to continue the family tree, because she has cousins and brothers to handle that. She does not mind the single life or isolation she has at times in the underground wilderness.
Her goal in life is to be well known enough to be the seeker of a great treasure.
Gis swallows a big gulp of air in relief, seeing that she is back on land again. She mimics the smile in return to the stranger, “I am to bring this city the greatest treasure not yet found. Point me to it, or show me someone who would know.” She barked. Even with the smile on her face the speech was a bit demanding and gruff. Rubbing her right shoulder she was ready to get to work.
