    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player’s knowledge garnered in their outside life affects their in-game life. For example, if Character A met Character B in the Discord before they met in-game, it would be metagaming for Character A to act as though they have previously met/know Character B when they first meet in-game.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is performing actions in-game that are not realistic to your character, not fair to other characters, or are not in line with how the world around you works. For example, if Character A and Character B were in an argument and Character A emoted: “Character A uses their magic to silence Character B.” That would be powergaming, as Character B is unfairly rendered completely powerless in this situation.
