    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the using information your character isn’t aware of to impact the decisions they make. For example, if your friend tells you on discord that X is trying to kill you, so you confront them about it in character, that’s metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you play your character in an unfair manner, such as dodging every attack or catching an arrow.

Bjorn would look at the overly-enthusiastic man, before turning and quickly walking away from him hoping to slip into the crowd. “Great, this is one of those kinds of places,” he muttered to himself. Bjorn began recalling stories he’d read from many of the books he owned, prior to leaving his village.
