Zianna of Elora
Zianna was born within a Idunian village as the eldest daughter of a lesser noble family. Her mother passed during childbirth to Ziannas youngest sibling which left her to perform all of the household duties and become the lady of their family. Years pass, and due to her father's gambling addiction, their family fell into a deep financial hardship. Zianna never grew upset with her father's actions, but ultimately understood that as the eldest child, much of the burden would settle onto her own shoulders. When she turned sixteen, Zianna made the decision to leave home in order to help support her family. Born with a beautiful singing voice and growing into a graceful young lady, she began performing wherever she could for any amount of coin at small gatherings, noble dinners, and private events. Eventually, her talent caught the attention of a noble household who offered her a formal but binding contract. Zianna was provided housing, elegant clothing, and work performing for guests and events hosted by the family. In exchange, a portion of her earnings was sent directly back to her own family, allowing them to live comfortably. Even though the contract helped those she loved, it came with sacrifices. Zianna rarely saw her family, often kept busy traveling or remaining within the noble estate for long periods of time. Her family eventually stopped contacting her, presumed dead. Over the years, the house became less a workplace and more a cage...and yet, Zianna never complained once. Everything changed after the death of the noble family’s father, the man who had personally arranged and signed her contract years earlier. While reviewing the agreement after his wake, Zianna discovered a loophole in the contracts wording. Her service was only required for as long as he himself remained alive...so, his death allowed her freedom once again. For the first time since she was sixteen, Zianna found herself truly free to find who she wished to be with no ties.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Zianna: The young woman's knuckles brush gently against the base of the wax dripping candles. Though she was clearly curious of the room itself, her eyes settle on the old hag as she questioned Zianna. Silently, she takes a seat on the chair with a straight posture. "I come from a small village in Idunian, ma'am." Her voice spoke soft, unwavering. "I suppose your question of my hope is exactly what i want. I wish to make MYSELF, find who I am. It is why i came here, a dingy town such as this might carry my next story...or perhaps a small chapter in my everlasting novel."
