Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?)) "Thank you.. I am grateful for your kindness.." She sat down as she spoke, once she was finally sitting she took a moment to gather her thought to answer the question the old hag made. "I was born in a village not to far from here.. I was never allowed to leave because my parent were always so strict- I never hated them but I also never loved them if I'm being honest. . ." She seemed dead on the inside, something tragic had happened to her that affected her for what seemed to be the rest of her life.. "When I was 17. . Which was three years ago If I'm right, our village was attacked by Dark Elfs.." She said it with a lower tone because she felt that the old hag wouldn't believe her.. Since Dark Elfs aren't really seen around these areas.. "I know it's hard to believe.. I'm as surprised as you are, but they burned it all down- Including my family.. Everyone.. Gone just like that- I was the only survivor.. It was a miracle that they didn't find me hiding under all the debris and ashes.." A tear.. Not of joy or sadness- But a tear with no meaning ran down her cheek.. She wiped it away. . "I trained.. Being able to protect myself- I am not ready just yet.. But that is why I've come here! To find my purpose and to see my true potential." And just like that.. She was done giving her story- Wasn't special or unique.. Her village ended like most, but she was different.. She meant what she said.
