    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Use information that is acquired by player on in-game character. For example, if my friend invite me to his house in person, then I would control my in-game character to visit my friend's in-game character's house. This invitation wasn't received by my in-game character, but my in-game character visited my friend's house for no reason, not knowing that she's invited. This is called metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Perform unrealistic actions that shouldn't be performed by in-game character, the ability to do this action is given by player. This is called powegaming.

I slowly gave that man a smile and started speaking, " I am an adventurer from a far land, my king is sick and I am assigned here to find herbs to heal my king."

I opened my wallet and gave that man a big golden coin and said, " Would you mind introducing me to this land and find a place for me to stay?"

The eyes of the man glowed as he saw the golden coin, he gave me a satisfied smile and led me along.
