Wind in hair and the refreshing mist of the sea spray, Fen gawks at the mass of stone as the ship approaches its destination. She’d seen fortifications such as this from afar, but not normally up close quite like this. It was a sight to behold.
Even as she gathered up her things as passengers began to disembark, she couldn’t avert her eyes right up until a startling greeting interrupted her awed observation. “Oh,” she instinctually reacted. She immediately smiled apologetically. “I couldn’t say I’m much interested in those things,” she answered, sidestepping out of the gentleman’s pathway to continue forth into the city.
