- A father named Aesthelstan and a mother who died shortly after birth of Amanita
- Kurai-Kuni
- The city part of the town, however she would always try to explore the more mountain regional part
- Hated the lack of nature and colorless environment and to study nature
Amanita was born in Kurai-Kuni and grew up in the more populated area with her father Aesthelstan, because her mom died. When she got older, she would constantly try to climb the mountain region of Kurai-Kuni, to look at the flowers, and trees that grew up there, but became busy with the study of their religion and deeply interested in studying the laws of nature and the world. Eventually she would go to move out to escape the small island she lived on and to study more of the world by herself.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
Amanita quietly took the offered seat, glancing around the place before speaking. "I come from Kurai-Kuni," she said, pulling her cloak tighter around herself. "It is crowded and colorless there, but the mountains beyond the city were always beautiful to me." She explained that she spent her life wanting to study nature and religion, but never really got the chance. "I left because I wanted to see more of the world than just a single island," Amanita admitted, her eyes drifting toward the door for a second. After a brief silence, she looked back toward the traveller and asked, "Why have you been expecting me?"
