    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming is when you take information that you haven't learned from your roleplay character and using that information to your benefit. (learning a location of your enemy through a stream and using it to raid him)
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: powergaming is when you would do unrealistic things that your character could not do, like lift 10 cars at once in a medieval world.

Ari would look the man up and down to read his demeanor, seeing that this man means no harm he would reply "I'm looking to start an adventure with my brother, whether that be guarding travelers on dangerous roads or exploring a mountain range no one has dared trek across before. We are simply looking to feed our hunger of freedom and exploration." Ari would continue to talk to the man inquiring about the prices of hired swords and travelling guides to make sure not to "cross boundaries" of undercutting local business.
