Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

 

Brylrorth entered the tent, his eyes locking onto the lady who had been speaking to him. He took a seat on the chair and began to share his tale.

"I was born in a secluded village nestled deep within a dense forest, where I spent my entire life. Our small tribe was dedicated to protecting our home from any threats. Although a few attackers tried to breach our defenses, our relentless vigilance kept them at bay." Brylrorth paused, glancing around the room before continuing. "Growing up, I only knew the same faces, and life became monotonous." He sighed, a hint of nostalgia in his eyes. "Once I reached adulthood, I felt a burning desire to explore the world beyond our village. I set out on a journey that lasted about half a year, during which I encountered a myriad of fascinating individuals. Some offered their assistance, while others attempted to rob me." Brylrorth's expression hardened momentarily as he recalled the dangers he faced. "Despite the challenges, I followed a winding path that eventually led me here." He gestured around him, a sense of accomplishment in his voice. "And now, my adventure continues as I stand before you."

Brylrorth finished, his eyes meeting hers with a mix of excitement and anticipation.
