    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming - Using outside information, that your character wouldn't have otherwise known, in roleplay as if you had known.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming - When one emotes for other people: "I chop off his head" is wrong, while "I attempt a swing at his head" would be right. You can't be overpowered while role playing because its unfair to others.

As Lander steps off the shaking boat, he takes a deep breath taking in all the various details of the city. A slight breeze reminded him he needed to keep moving forward. As he passed all the unique shops and stalls, he spotted an old man begging for money on the side of the road. Lander suddenly remembers the tragic events that occurred to him whilst still a mere child and tosses him a few coins. Still wandering the city, a very well-dressed gentleman approaches Lander with a large smile from ear to ear. The man looks at Lander and says, “Welcome!”. Lander puts his palm up to him and says “I don’t have time for this”. The man starts to say something more, something to make the lone man talk to him. However, the uncaring tone of Lander’s voice was enough for the well-dressed man to realize that they weren’t having any social time. Lander immediately saw how well that man was dressed and naturally assumed that the gentleman was going to waste his precious time.
