Fraegar Stontali was a simple black smith that immigrated from the continent of Atlas to Arcas. Eventually he settled down in the town of Helena. Whilst moving to Arcas, Fraegar’s last name was changed to be Stonolo, it was deemed to be more fitting. There, he and his wife had two children, Darwin and Lander Stonolo. Lander grew up wanting to be a simple blacksmith, like his father. The boy did not attend any school for they were too poor to afford such an expensive thing. Although, Lander was interested in the literary arts and would try and learn as much of he could about reading and writing. He was able to read at the age of ten, which was quite impressive. At the time, the wealthy did not care much for those without money, therefore Lander and his family grew up by hating the wealthy. Darwin, Lander’s younger brother, was lost at the age of twelve. He was sent to get food from the market and never came back. His parents were mostly concerned of the food and extra change that Darwin wasn’t able to bring back, for it was to last them two weeks. Lander had a few friends when he was at a young age, all of them were as poor as him. They often fought with sticks, pretending they were soldiers. Lander was born and raised in Helena, you know. Their families were not concerned much with the politics of the Empire, they were just focused on getting enough money and food for their family. They were loyal followers of Canonism and its traditions, as they truly hoped embracing a religious lifestyle would help them have a better future. Now at the age of twenty-two, Lander would write occasional books of lore or maybe even fantasy. Unfortunately, Lander grew up to see that there weren’t many noble jobs to be filled, except those of war. For, it was not challenging for one to get an occupation in this trying time, for the Orenian Empire is now at war with Sutica, and his nation needed him more than ever. However, Lander only decided to join the guard not of loyalty, but for mina.
