How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Having the character suddenly understand and know what the player knows without any reason for the character to know the information. An example would be if I was playing, then the next day I read up on a magic skill, and then I state that my character now knows that magic skill.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: The player denying any negative effects displayed upon the character. This includes making your character omnipotent or making the character able to breeze through any situation without a challenge. An example would be to give my character buffs from different items or such that just negate things like poisons.
    Status: Accepted

“Bold of you to assume I don’t have those things, can you show me around?” I respond. He gestures with my hand that I mean no harm. He gestures to follow and I do so, a little cautious. I notice people talking prices and others sitting poor. I love the world I am observing around me.

Your application has been put on pending as there are changes needing to be made before you may be accepted, as follows:

Your Metagaming and Powergaming Definitions both need 1 example to be added to them.

Your Powergaming Definition is on the right track, though it’s not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including an example so I can tell you fully understand!

Please make sure you clarify where you have roleplayed before.

Your Personality Traits/Quirks are a bit lacking. If you’re lost on what more to say, think of their fears, how they act around new people, etc.

Question: I don't quite understand the rules about death and I fear breaking those rules the most. If I get in I might need to talk about it to make sure it makes sense

Answer: So character death is something that really depends on the situation. The only times you HAVE to perma-kill (pk) your character is when they commit suicide or when you are in an event that warned you before that it was a PK event. Killing off your character other than that is more about honor. You have to ask yourself the question “Is this roleplay good enough/worth killing my character for?” because no one would kill their character in some awful bandit roleplay, but maybe you would kill your character if they were successfully poisoned. You have to be fair with it though. However, if you choose to not kill your character but they still die you can send them to the Monks in Cloud Temple (Spawn). The rules with that are you cannot go back to the place you died for 30 real-life minutes. If you have any more questions about this you can ALWAYS ask.

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on Discord zuziee#4323 to let me know, or if you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message, and please do ask if you have any questions. If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki, and I highly recommend joining the LotC Discord as well.
