    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a player knows whats going on on the other side of the world, without being informt by someone else in game. So its basicly when you have knowledge that you shuldent have.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: When a character is overpowered. (using unreal ?abilities? in a battle or outside of a battle) making him overpowered.

Lio backs off a little and says “I am here for some Fire Flower seeds. Do you know where i can buy them from?” in a vary grossed out voice. Then he straten himself back up after the ‘surprise’ and depending on the respond, he back off again thanking the man and goes his way. He is very wierded out from this interaction and trys to forget it.
